(Semi) Official ROBOKEL design from Noli Mei Oblivisci chapter 23 {Metal Sonic for comparison and colors}

Robot duplicate made by MOLLY to match and surpass KEL in speed. This metal doppelganger was hastily finished and launched before the other Dream Friend robot models could be finished or tested properly and therefore shipped with a slew of bugs including a disabled voice chip (probably for the best) and malfunctioning coolant fans leading to faster overheating and potentially increased chance of sudden detonation.

I’ve been playing omori for the last few days and it took me forever to realise aubrey isn’t kel and hero’s sister </3 by the time I reached the real world segments I was genuinely so confused because kel would be like “aubrey’s really changed…” and I was like ??? your sister ??? why are you acting like you don’t live together 😭

I was exploring different styles and man I did not know that I knew how to draw like this. Also a tint of palette challenge, mostly because I was lazy to pick colours. So it was purely those 5 colours. No fancy stuff, just the standard pen brush, with varied opacities.

Basically, it's based off the friends' truth reaction thing from the Omori exhibition.

Ok, Probably gonna slowly upload a bit of my backlog of silly pictures and such, this one’s probably a good start as it’s the 3 core characters whose universes i’m dedicated to expanding upon. Kel’s a carefree adventuring kid who has a strange ability to make friends with even the fiercest of foes, Deilos is a depressed as heck demon who got accidentally summoned onto earth who is learning to figure out his life and how to deal with his personal issues, and Maxwell is a dorky mailboy who tries to put on a confident guise in order to stand out from the crowd and dreams of being a space pilot. overall, uh.. These are the main characters of the universes I wanna share. (Also why did i use the site where I could barely make half a paragraph on for 3 years?)

first off i dont know if im just kayceepilled but i feel if you remove the glasses thats just her with palette swapped clothes😭

it doesnt start and end with their design, he is a certified Freak on the same wavelength as her which is what Really gets me. he eats roaches and rotting deer carcasses for fun

he lives alone in the middle-of-nowhere mountains to operate a research lab with zero experience . he gets beat up by aliens. tortured by demons when he doesnt sleep enough. hallucinates burgers when hes starving . jumps off buildinds. crashes his atv into trees. is a weeb. dismembered by beutiful angels. eats real burgers he finds on the ground outside. has a doctorate in astronomy. a sad little jester in the eyes of God.

i love you dr kel. not just because you carry the soul of my beloved but out of your own merits as well. the entire universe conspires against you as much as it does her.

I've technically got a fictionkin wallpaper request, but since l'm canon-divergent I’d want to use my own drawings, which are, not of very publishable effort lol. Soo, if you wouldn't mind could you make this one with some blanks for me to fill in maybe? Just white images sorta?

If that's okay, the request itself is a phone-orientation neutral green/blackish palette, contrasting main themes between coniferous forestry/rivers and “clunky" tech like vhs tapes/server racks. If there's extra room then possibly some vulture culture too? ^^

Honestly, horror and cuteness could have never been perfectly matched with Basil and I’m absolutely exited to see this au expanded! Which… Brings out the question. Unlike humans who see Basil as a normal teen, would animals like dogs, cats or other animals sense Basil’s eldritch presence? How would they react if they do? Or how would Basil react to their reactions?

Would it be kind of similar to the dogs with Wilbur Whateley in the H.P. Lovecraft mythos?

While I never intended for this au to be very expansive, mainly just a goofy side project to doodle for fun, I am having a blast with exploring this idea further with you guys!

For sure I can imagine basil having some tough luck with animals. While he hasn't yet been attacked by a dog like in Lovecraft's mytho, he definitely had many occurrences of animals either cowering away from him or biting/scratching him. None of them go into full aggression, but his presence does make the animals feel very on guard.

At the start of the friend group's friendship, most of the time kel and sunny would need to shoo away hector and mewo, just so no altercations happen when basil is around. Later on, since basil has been around for a long time, hector and mewo slightly warm up to him, but not enough to let him pet them </3

The gang has come around to the mutual agreement that animals just don't like him and that there's nothing suspicious about that. In their eyes basil's just a very unlucky fella.

The eldritch boy's honest feelings regarding this matters is that of despondency, since he has a soft spot for every living being on earth, including animals and plants!

so there's this idea that's been bonking around my mind for... years? I'm not sure how many but it's been a while. so, it started with the idea of characters based on the 7 deadly sins (original I know) and grew into a whole false tv show in my brain. first off, LONG POST WARNING!!!!!!! just letting yall know. second, there is some inspiration from Ready Player One here, if you haven't seen it, dw you dont need the context of the story, just the idea of a VR kinda thing for the internet, EXCEPT your body ceases to exist outside of it when you arent in the internet (tm) so no bullshit someone's gonna get you while you're in there! I can and will go into the intricusies of how the internet (tm) works but there are other things I wanna expand on. mainly, our main characters!!! there are 8 main characters: one for every sin and the protagonist. (some images included to show off the general vibe/colour palette of the characters all from pinterest) starting with our main character, she doesn't really have a name cause i cant think of a good one, but she's 14-16, new to high school and experiencing the internet (tm) for the first time, she's been online, but never in the actual world before. I like to think she wears mainly black and white with hints of red or other colours in the beginning and gains more colours as time goes on and she learns more about herself and the world around her. she is heavily inspired by moon girl from marvel's moon girl and devil dinosaur

next, Pride! she is the general leader of the group since she's the most commanding and takes no shit. she tries to keep the kid safe and out of trouble, she has her own in securities and such that I can go over in a stand alone post about the specific characters. she is kinda inspired by garnet from steven universe but only in a design way.

then we have the most developed and a literal self insert: lust! he's the resident "heart throb" of the group and is probably the silliest of the group, also the one the protag meets first. he is the insighting incident in many a misadventure cause its easy to use him for that. I will go into this more later, but he's lust cause he lusts for a relationship, he's a sad boy (like me) inspiration is angel dust from hazbin but only in personality.

envy and greed are twins, identical within the internet (tm) and fraternal outside of it cause oh yeah, the 7 are all real people too. they work together very well and put on a show of wanting what the other has to outside observers. the only inspo I can think of is the general aesthetic of grossology and mammon from helluva from a design stand point.

(pretend there's an image of a big ol oversized hoodie here, almost all those photos have people in them and I dont feel comfortable with that) wrath was one of the hardest for me to pinpoint initially, his thing isn't being angry, he makes others angry by being goofy and messing with them. Like kel from omori, also his design SOMEHOW ended up being cowboy esque in my head??? so like clover from undertale yellow.

sloth is actually my favourite, she loves hyperpop, all things pink and pastel, loves performing songs with lust, but she's sloth because she doesn't do anything unless it interests her, no chores, no responsibilities, she leaves the internet(tm) the least out of them all. I saw an artist on twitter once and was like YEAH THATS THE VIBE but I forgot who they are TwT. she is also based on moon girl design wise. BEE AND PUPPYCAT AESTHETIC MY GOAT!!!

last and sadly least is gluttony, I don't really have them super developed, and if anyone has any ideas for them I would love to hear it!

Photosynthesize, Basil + Sunny, ...sunshine, plants, yeah

Moonflower, DW Basil + Omori, dreams, night time, moon, flower, plants, yeah fairly simple

Black Blight, Basil + Stranger, a blight is basically just, a plant disease, which I think works for the two, black because Blackspace and Stranger is fully pitch black and just Blight felt a little boring by itself
